What is a country coverage report?

Our Country Coverage files (PDF report and .kmz file) provide a detailed snapshot of the very high-resolution (VHR) archive imagery for a specified country. Coverage is primarily derived from our 30cm Pléiades Neo imagery. Where this coverage is incomplete or unavailable, it is supplemented with 50cm imagery from the Pléiades constellation.

The data, available from 2021 onward, offers an up-to-date view of each country’s coverage and ensures both sensors are aligned on a consistent timeline.

Each Country coverage file includes:

A one-page summary with key coverage figures for the selected country
A KMZ file displaying all available image footprints

For more detailed exploration and analysis, two SHP files (one for Pléiades Neo and one for Pléiades) are also provided. These can be opened with any standard GIS software and contain detailed segment-level information on the coverage.

Only high-quality imagery is included in this country coverage, with:
- Less than 20° off-nadir angle (Optimum conditions for HD15 production)
- Less than 10% cloud cover.

These documents are updated annually, to provide the latest insights from the Pléiades Neo constellation, renowned for its outstanding image clarity and precision—ideal for national and local applications.
