The port of Hull in the north-east of England is home to a Wind Turbine Factory, where 192 giant blades were counted on a Pléiades Neo image.
The port of Hull in the north-east of England is home to a Wind Turbine Factory, where 192 giant blades were counted on a Pléiades Neo image.
They are currently waiting to embark for offshore wind farms in the North Sea. These giant blades are 81 metres in length, which measures the same as the wings of an Airbus A380 and will be assembled in the open sea approximately 100km from the coast. Once erected, the wind turbine will be 204m high.
