A Major Step for Military Sate...
A Major Step for Military Satellite Communications in France!
On November 13, the official inauguration of the ground anchors in the military Ka-band took place in southern France. This marks a first for France's military satellite telecommunications programs.
The Ka-band is one of the innovations of the 4th generation SYRACUSE.

These anchors are part of a strategic project involving four stations distributed across two sites.
They ensure robust and secure communications between troops in operation and the mainland. Concurrently, technical training sessions have been organized to ensure that the teams responsible for Operational Readiness (MCO) of the infrastructure, which will be maintained for 15 years, are proficient with the systems.
This project represents an expansion of the frequency bands used and triples the communication capacity. This technological evolution meets the growing demand for higher data rates in military communications. Thanks to recent advancements, the Ka-band is now operational even under adverse weather conditions, offering increased reliability compared to previous systems.
Despite the challenges posed by the complexity of infrastructure work on military sites, the stations were delivered on schedule thanks to the commitment, responsiveness, and expertise of the teams deployed on-site and in support.
This project embodies the strength of teamwork and mastery of cutting-edge technologies in the service of national defense. A key step in meeting the ever-increasing needs for data rates and robustness in military communications.
A big congratulations to all the teams involved in securing France's next-generation military communications!
