The very high-quality image of Paris was captured by Pléiades Neo on 04/16/2022. This detailed view of the famous City of Light is a premier example of the clarity, precision & colours rendering that Pléiades Neo HD15 can achieve. The image shows Central Paris, focusing on the Invalides and Latin Quarter in the middle of the image and stretching out to the 16th Arrondissement on the left, the 8th and 9th Arrondissements on the top middle and top right. On the middle right of the image is the 5th Arrondissement. Scrolling down to the bottom shows the 15th, 14th and 13th Arrondissements from left to right.
The world-renowned landmarks of Paris feature prominently in the image. Viewers can see the unmistakable Eiffel Tower at the centre left and the iconic Arc de Triomphe above it. Panning across from the centre to the middle right and downwards, the viewer can observe the Hotel des Invalides, the Jardin du Luxembourg, the Montparnasse Tower, and the Pantheon on the bottom right side. Zooming in provides highly detailed views with clearly visible trees, cars, and pedestrians.
This fine level of detail of one of the world’s grandest cities was produced by Airbus Pléiades Neo HD15 which is specially designed to enhance the visual rendering of Pléiades Neo imagery. Derived from Pléiades Neo native 30cm, it brightens the colours of the imagery and provides sharper details for easier interpretation making the final image closer to the quality of an aerial image.
The Pléiades Neo constellation deliver very high-quality images with operational reactivity at 30-cm native resolution. The two Pléiades Neo sensors can acquire images over a coverage area of more than 1 million km² per day and have mono, stereo, and tri-stereo acquisition capabilities. Pléiades Neo is able to retrieve images within just 40 minutes of an urgent request and can provide daily revisits to an area if required.
