DGA Awards CAMELEON Military SATCOM Programme to Airbus, Greenerwave and Thales

The objective of this framework contract is to design, develop, and manufacture SATCOM terminals based on PESA (Passive Electronically Scanned Array) technology, enabling multi-orbit (LEO, MEO, GEO), multi-band (X, Ka, Ku), and multi-domain (Land, Air, Sea) satellite communications, both On-the-Pause and On-the-Move.

The contract covers activities ranging from the design phase through the manufacturing of the terminal, as well as an initial production batch.

The consortium will leverage the unique and complementary expertise of its members to meet the French Armed Forces’ satellite connectivity requirements.

CAMELEON builds on the close collaboration between the innovative French SME Greenerwave and the established leaders in the space sector, Airbus Defence and Space and Thales.
