The acclimatization of exotic plants on the 6 hectares of the Botanical Garden of Valencia began in 1803.
Today majestic trees and more than 4,500 species of plants among the oldest in Europe are preserved in this enclosure surrounded by the city. Administered by the University of Valencia, the garden is now an important center for botanical research and the study of biodiversity.
