SatRev, a Wrocław-based new-space company from the portfolio of JRH ASI S.A., listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, has obtained Airbus Platinum Reseller status, becoming the first partner of this class in Central Europe. The signed agreement covers the resale and distribution of satellite data from Airbus Defence and Space. Access to Airbus’ full data portfolio complements the information acquired by SatRev through its own missions and broadens the scope of data available within advanced analytical services, including data used in the Company's artificial intelligence-based solutions.
Under the signed agreement, SatRev has become the first Airbus Platinum Reseller in Central Europe. Platinum Reseller status represents the highest level of cooperation within the Airbus partner network. Thanks to the agreement, the Company has gained access to the Airbus data portfolio, including very high-resolution optical imagery ranging from 1.5 m to as much as 0.3 m GSD, as well as multispectral data. Combined with SatRev’s own satellite imagery and SAR radar data, this enables the Company to offer clients the full spectrum of Earth observation data, as well as its sale, distribution, and the delivery of comprehensive analytical products based on such data.
Airbus Defence and Space is one of the world’s largest providers of satellite data. The company’s portfolio includes both optical and radar imagery, as well as archival data and new acquisitions conducted on an individual customer order basis. Its data is used by public administration entities and organizations operating in infrastructure, energy, environmental protection, and security sectors, among others.
“We are pleased to expand our partner network with SatRev, a company with well- established expertise in the Earth observation and satellite data analytics market. The Central European market holds significant potential, and cooperation with a local partner, one of the leaders of the regional new-space segment, supports the expansion of our presence in CEE. SatRev is an organization with competencies covering the entire space sector value chain from small satellite manufacturing, through space operations, to data analytics and downstream services which enables an even better response to customer needs” said Manuel Lagarde, Vice President, Head of Sales Space Digital at Airbus Defence and Space
Obtaining Platinum Reseller status is aligned with SatRev’s development strategy as a company that not only designs, manufactures, and operates satellites, but also delivers advanced products based on Earth observation data. The Company will combine imaging capabilities provided by its own satellites, delivering optical data with a resolution ranging from 5.0 m to 1.5 m GSD, with access to the Airbus portfolio, as well as its existing and continuously developing analytical competencies and artificial intelligence-based solutions.
This will enable the execution of more advanced projects for customers from demanding sectors such as critical infrastructure, energy, and security, by leveraging information originating from multiple Earth observation sources and technologies. Today, increasing importance is being placed not on the acquisition of satellite imagery itself, but on the delivery of ready-to-use analyses, insights, and information products that support decision-making processes.
“Achieving Airbus Platinum Reseller status is an important milestone in the development of our Earth observation segment. We gain access to one of the broadest satellite data portfolios in the world, strengthening the competencies we have built over many years in satellite data acquisition, integration, and analysis. By combining this data with our own, we use it as a foundation for enhancing the products and systems we deliver to our customers. By creating, together with the analysis of these images, a complete and comprehensive market offering, we provide our partners with increasingly better decision-making capabilities. Customers can also acquire Airbus data together with the analytical services offered by us” stated Dr. Daniel Więzik, Chief Executive Officer of SatRev.
At the same time, SatRev continues to consistently develop its own technologies and sovereign capabilities in the areas of Earth observation, satellite data analytics, artificial intelligence, small satellite manufacturing, and its own ground segment.
The Company is finalizing the launch of another satellite later this year, with production already completed. At SatRev’s headquarters, work is already underway on next-generation satellite models with imaging resolution increased to 0.8 m.
The expansion of the offering with Airbus data increases the range of projects that SatRev can execute for both existing and new customers. Natural application areas for the Company’s solutions include critical infrastructure monitoring, energy and transmission network monitoring, water management, environmental protection, agriculture, spatial planning, and security.
